The beaches, what to do and where to stay
Pipa beach is located in Rio Grande do Norte, in the municipality of Tibau do Sul, 80km from the city of Natal. The destination is one of the most popular among Brazilian and foreign tourists! Even so, it is still a natural refuge with a lot of nature, cliffs, water of different shades of blue. Everything in Pipa is very charming. The beaches are among the most beautiful in Brazil! Each one has its charm and enchantment, the sea water is crystal clear and with a pleasant temperature.
PRAIA DAS MINAS
It is the most deserted in Pipa, with a stretch of sand good for walking, nature is very present there, so be careful where you step, there are sea turtles nesting on the sand strip. The sea is not suitable for bathers, because of the current and strong wind, but it attracts many kite surfing enthusiasts. Access can be made by going down Chapadão or through the sand, from Praia do Amor.
BEACH OF LOVE
Favorite among locals and tourists, Praia do Amor has a long stretch of golden sand, which houses tents, greenish sea and good waves for surfing. The name comes from the view, if you look from the top of Chapadão, the edge is heart-shaped. Access is via a staircase at the end of Rua da Praia do Amor (a side street on Avenida Baía dos Golfinhos). Only at low tide, you can walk to Praia do Centro, the busiest in the village and very popular with families. From there, boat trips around the region depart.
DOLPHIN BEACH
The strip of sand, bordered by reddish cliffs, forms a beautiful design, and, in the sea, there is the possibility of swimming alongside dolphins. If you want to see the animals up close, you can rent kayaks and boards at the kiosks on the sand. Access is not so simple and is only possible at low tide, through the beaches that are on the sides (Praia do Madeiro or Praia do Centro). Consult the tide table when you want to visit it. Due to the difficulty of access, it is a haven of tranquility. There are not many tourists or street vendors.
MADEIRO BEACH
It is one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil. It takes some effort to get there, going through many steps, between the trees. There are a few tents there and you might find someone offering surf lessons. The place is very peaceful, its sands are perfect for a walk, sunbathing, playing sports, such as racquetball and football. The waters are warm and calm, suitable for swimming, surfing for beginners.
WHEN TO GO?
Temperatures there are high all year round! The high season runs from December until the end of Carnival when the place is crowded, in addition to the mid-year vacation months. The rains occur mainly between March and July.
